Fish with Captain John and First Mate Rudy aboard the Stress Reeliever. "Stress Reeliever" is a professionally rigged Ocean Master with high end Furuno electronics and the finest in fishing tackle. Recently the recipeint of a $50,000 overhaul (July 2009), it is the newest and nicest boat in the Quepos Fleet. Brand new 2009 6 liter Cummins Diesel with transmission, 2 VHF radios, Furuno GPS Color GPS Chartplotter with all Latin American Maps, 24 Mile Radar, Furuno color fish finder, cell phone, Fighting Chair, Rupp tuna tower and outriggers, tackle, Shimano Tiagra Reels, Calstar Graphite trolling rods, a full assortment of "Sumo Tackle" stand-up harnesses and fighting belts, Orthopedic Padded Rest Area with huge bimini shade, marine toilet, First-Aid Kit, and all the necessary emergency / safety equipment onboard. Boat is equipped with a live well and tuna tubes. We also have a smaller bait fishing boat fishing for us exclusively ensuring we have the live bait required for the trip without wasting the customers time looking for bait (like some of the other boats). WIth a cruise speed of up to 30 mph (weather permitting), the Stress Reeliever is the fastest boat over 28 feet in Quepos and is always the boat getting to the fish first. (Compare that to the 12mph of some other boats in Quepos)

Full Day Offshore
Offshore trips usually consist of Sailfish, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, Dorado / Mahi Mahi, Red Pargo / Snapper, Giant Grouper / JewFish and Wahoo. We fish between 18 and 40 miles offshore depending on where the fish are!
Inshore Trips
Inshore trips consist of RoosterFish, Snook, Mackeral, and Red Pargo / Snapper. Inshore trips are nice if you like to see the pristine undeveloped coastline North and South of Quepos.
Full day packages start at 7am and run till 4pm and are often a bit extended due to long Marlin or Sailfish fights. Half day trips are typically five hours long and can be scheduled by the customer (morning fishing is usually the best.)
Trip price is for all passengers not per person. Boat can comfortably fish 4 anglers, and we can allow a couple extra passengers (spectators) if needed. Trip price does not include fishing license which is 25 per person per year. We also can give better rates for multiple-day bookings. We are super flexible and can work with anybody. Just send us an inquiry and we'll get you fishing!
All charters include: "Made in front of you the way you want it" foot-long subway style sandwiches, fresh cold fruit snacks, Ice cold beer and soft drinks, bait and conventional tackle.
